Materials & Quality Assurance

Yes, Rao Space offers well-defined packages tailored to different needs. For example, the Essential package is ideal for rental properties, offering functionality with cost-effectiveness. The Advance and Elite packages are best suited for homeowners, providing enhanced customisation, superior finishes, and premium materials to match long-term lifestyle goals and personal preferences. Our team also provides personalised recommendations based on your space, purpose, and budget.

For the carcass (internal structure) in wet areas (like kitchens or utility), we use BWP Ply-ISI 710 (18 mm) across all our packages (Essential, Advance, and Elite). For dry areas, MR Ply-ISI 303 (18 mm) is used consistently. The back sheet of the carcass is made of BWP Ply with an 8mm finished thickness. For shutters, in wet areas, the Advance and Elite packages use HDHMR (18 mm). For dry areas shutter, the Essential package uses MR Ply-ISI 303 (18 mm), while Advance and Elite packages use HDHMR (18 mm).

Yes, our products are both waterproof and termite-proof. We use BWP (Boiling Waterproof) plywood in wet areas, which provides strong resistance against moisture and humidity. However, please note that the warranty does not cover damage caused by continuous water leakage or seepage within the building structure beyond the specified duration (72 hours for BWP plywood). All materials we use are also treated to be resistant to termites, ensuring long-lasting durability.

Acrylic Finish

Acrylic finishes offer a luxurious, high-gloss appearance with a smooth, mirror-like surface, perfect for modern interiors.

SS steel is also heat-resistant, making it perfect for cooking areas. Rao Space ensures good quality by harnessing advanced German machinery and AI-driven technology in its processes. We are committed to using quality materials and have a strong track record, having transformed more than 1,500 homes.

Project Process & Timelines

Our project process begins with an initial discussion and quotation. This is followed by booking confirmation and site measurements. The third step is design and planning, which leads to rendering and sign-off. After design/ sign-off approval Subsequently, we move to procurement and production, followed by installation, and finally, handover of your transformed space.

Timelines can vary based on project value, scope and complexity, generally ranging from 25 to 50 working days after design confirmation. For projects primarily involving "Type A" categories (e.g., modular furniture), Rao Space guarantees flawless installations within 35 days from design approval. If "Type B" categories (e.g., wallpaper, wooden flooring) are included, a 35+10 Days Delivery Guarantee applies. Specifically, manufacturing and installation take 30-35 days for the Advance package and 35-50 days for the Elite package.

Delays from the customer's side can impact project timelines and guarantees. For instance, if material dispatch is delayed by the customer or not accepted within 5 days, the risk transfers, and storage charges apply from the 6th day. Payment delays can also cause the Delivery Guarantee to cease and lead to delays in material dispatch and installation. Other factors like not having full possession of the site, restrictions on work timings, concurrent work by other contractors, changes to designs after the "All-Set-Go" milestone, or hindrances such as lack of power or non-working lifts can also nullify the Delivery Guarantee.

Rao Space primarily focuses on interior design and furniture installation. We do include Standard Electrical Works as a "Type A" category within our 45-day delivery guarantee. However, please note that non-standard electrical works and civil/renovation activities can nullify our Delivery Guarantee. For major structural or extensive civil changes, we recommend consulting with our relevant specialists.

We keep you informed through a dedicated WhatsApp group where daily progress updates are shared, also Timeline through mail and spreadsheets. This ensures transparency and allows you to stay involved at every stage of your interior project.

Pricing & Payment Transparency

The cost of home interiors can vary significantly based on factors such as the size of your home, the scope of work, chosen materials, and customisation levels. For basic solutions, interior design costs for a 2BHK can range from ₹3.4 to ₹5.8 lakhs, while a 3BHK may cost between ₹4.8 to ₹7.3 lakhs. High-end or luxury interiors can be considerably higher, often estimated as 10–15% of the total property cost. Rao Space is known for offering cost-effective solutions.

Yes, Rao Space provides a detailed quotation after the initial discussion.

The total price for our services is payable in instalments based on specific project milestones. An initial booking amount of 10% is payable as  booking. 15% design finalisation and during render stage. 40% payment signoff documents are approved and moving to the production stage. The next 30% of the Price is payable after ready-to-dispatch email, Remaining 5% During the verge of completion.

No, Hidden charges. Rao Space provides detailed quotations, and the Price is inclusive of all applicable duties and taxes. However, If T&C Breeched, please note that demurrage charges of Rs. 500 per day apply if the Dispatch payment is delayed beyond 2 working days, and storage charges may apply if the customer delays material dispatch or acceptance for more than 15 days.

Currently, we do not offer EMI or financing options. However, we are actively working on introducing this facility soon to make our services more accessible.

There is often room for negotiation, especially concerning material choices or the scope of work. Designers may also offer alternative solutions to help fit tighter budgets without compromising essential quality.

Yes, we offer referral benefits and seasonal discounts. These offers vary from time to time, so we recommend discussing the latest details with our designer during your consultation.

After-Sales Support & Revisions

While Rao Space aims to be flexible in its dealings, it is important to note that changes to designs after the "All-Set-Go" milestone (which includes design sign-off) can nullify the Delivery Guarantee. We encourage thorough review and confirmation during the design and sign-off stages.

Rao Space provides comprehensive after-sales service. This includes a free service visit to address routine issues such as moving parts like hinges and channels, minor alignment adjustments, and loose parts. This free service is applicable and should be availed during the first 6 months after the date of delivery/installation.

Yes, Rao Space provides comprehensive after-sales service and offers a free service visit for routine issues within the initial 6 months post-installation. After this period, any subsequent service and maintenance calls will be done on a chargeable basis. It's important to note that our warranty covers certain defects but excludes issues arising from normal wear and tear, rusting of metallic parts, damage from household chemicals or water leakage/seepage, misuse, or unauthorised alterations.

You can raise a service request by calling Rao Space care to schedule a visit.

We currently do not offer an annual maintenance plan. After the initial 6-month free service period, any subsequent service and maintenance calls will be conducted on a chargeable basis, with an assessment/inspection fee.

Rao Space provides a warranty certificate which outlines our sole warranty obligation for the Products. Woodwork warranties vary by package: the Essential package includes a 5-year warranty, while the Elite package offers a 10-year warranty (note that these do not apply to on-site work). A separate manufacturer's warranty is provided for hardware across all packages. Additionally, we offer one free service visit for routine issues within the first 6 months post-installation.

Installation & Site Logistics

Rao Space handles the installation of customised home furniture. We are responsible for delivering and installing the furniture on or before the committed Delivery Date, and we guarantee flawless installations.

No, your presence at the site during installation is not required. Our team will handle the process professionally and keep you updated regularly through photos and messages.

For the “All-Set-Go” milestone, the site must be prepared as per our Site Readiness Checklist. This includes having a functional power supply, working lifts, and completion of builder-dependent tasks like kitchen countertops and wall tiles. Any delays in addressing these can impact the delivery and installation schedule. Proper site readiness ensures a smooth and timely execution of your interiors.

Yes, our assembly team ensures that all installed units are properly cleaned before handover. However, if you require deep cleaning of your entire home, it is available at an additional cost. We request homeowners to provide us the information on designated area for disposing debris during installation. Transporting this material outside the apartment might as well need approvals from builders.

Yes, our assembly team is available to work on weekends and holidays for your convenience. However, prior permission from the apartment authorities is required to carry out any work during these times. We recommend informing your building management in advance.
